Miscellaneous but important stuff!

When you are creating a gradient in a drawing program and you intend to use spot color, make sure there are no process colors in the gradient. If there are your gradient will become all CMYK and not print correctly. To make a “white” in a spot color gradient, chose the spot color and give it a tint of 0%.

A note about Index colors. If you are using files that at one time were Index colors check your channel layers for an extra “mask” layer. Delete this. It will cause all kinds of problems in printing.

When you move a graphic or text box or anything else off of your document space and out into the clipboard, don’t forget about it! If you do not plan to use it in this document, delete it or save it by itself into another document. Do not leave it on the clip board. The reason is simple. If you store data here it stays in your document taking up space, making your file larger, possibly slowing you down and potentially causing problems when it is sent to us! Many times hidden fonts are found out here that were never used in the final document!
